Projection Mapping

WAVEFORM.exp projection mapping on the Colorado Building, September 30-October 1, 2022

We were so thrilled to expand our festival offerings to include digital artists and projection mapping at the 2022 festival! Check out some highlights from @waveform.exp. ⠀
⠀
WAVEFORM.exp seeks to transform objects or buildings into something else entirely with the rest of the surrounding environment standing in contrast or in harmony with their visuals. The duo of Sam Moritz and Pat Higgins hope that viewers experience wonder, excitement, and curiosity about how light can warp their perceptions of three-dimensional space. ⠀
⠀
Sam and Pat projected on the Colorado Building in Downtown Boulder during two nights of the festival. The Colorado Building offered a huge vertical space for projections and great visibility from Pearl and 14th. ⠀
⠀
WAVEFORM played almost an hour of their original animations, pulling from their vast catalog of custom content they designed over years of VJing. The duo dug deep into their hard drives to mix together old and new VJ clips, bringing back memories of past shows and events. They also teamed up with @denverdigerati to project content from recent contest winners.
