"Colorado is one of the fastest growing states in this nation. And for hundreds of thousands of people, quality housing is priced out of reach. In fact, over 25% of Coloradans are at financial risk because they’re forced to spend more than 50% of their income on housing. Gone are the days that 30% golden rule. This high cost of housing affects essential members of our community including our teachers, police officers, healthcare workers and the service industry- including us, artists and designers, all of whom are crucial to the City and County of Boulder and beyond.

Workshop8 is a studio here in town largely dedicated to the design of affordable housing, an our mural "housing for all" stands for exactly that. we know that quality design can be beautiful can be functional and it can be affordable. Providing housing for all is possible. And by innovative ways of community planning and design and policy making. Qe can make sure everyone has a place to call home- it just needs to be made a priority now more than ever. We need to tackle this basic necessity, it's a foundation in which one can leave a meaningful and prosperous life and therefore make greater contributions to our communities/ We are proud to be out here this week as a part of the Street Wise your mural to serve as a reminder for our community to continue this conversation because it cannot be stopped until we achieve housing for all."
